We Are Back!

January3

Hello my friends and fellow bloggers! The holidays are behind us and we are finally home and getting back into the swing of things. Hopefully that means my blogging will not go by the wayside anymore. I am going to start the new year out by sharing a fun video of Sweet Pea. He recently discovered the microphone from rock band and loves to “sing”. Here he is rocking out:

Just Another Day in Paradise

September8

I was driving home today and the song Just Another Day in Paradise by Phil Vasser came on the radio. I haven’t heard the song in years and I was reminded of how much I love it. I think I love it so much because it reminds me a lot of my own life. There is always so much going on and so much that goes wrong, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. There are days where we have to decide whether we want to fix the dryer or buy groceries (groceries always wins), but it is still my paradise.

Sure, as my hubby would tell you, I have bad days. I wish we could just go out and buy a new dryer or bring home the new car that we dream about. And occasionally I make my feelings known loud and clear. But the reality is the new dryer would just break again. The new car will just become old. My hubby and my son are the real deal. I wouldn’t trade my time with them for anything. I look at them and think that all the struggles are worth just being able to be with them.

So watch the music video, listen to the words, and join me in paradise!
