Sweet Pea Paints

August11

Last week (8/5) Sweet Pea painted for the first time! He was so excited and so serious about the whole thing. He did very well dipping his brush in the paint and actually making it to the paper. Although at one point he did try to pick up the glass of paint and drink it. My aunt swooped in and stopped him. Painting is now going to be a weekly thing for us!!

Love the smock. We do so much to contain the mess, no?

I think painting is magical – you make something out of nothing, you bring color to the world, you learn that images and things are related (but not the same). It’s awesome. And look at Sweet Pea with sunny yellow paint! Such a happy color.

    Evie loves painting!

If you want something easy while you’re taking care of the baby, you should let him try a paint with water book. It’s still fun for him (although not as creative,) but it works his fine motor skills and KEEPS HIM BUSY! :)
