Thanksgiving

November28

We had a wonderful, whirlwind Thanksgiving. My parents drove down here Tuesday night. We got up Wednesday and followed them to Houston. Had a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner with family, extended family, and extended extended family. We got up Friday morning and headed home.

We have spent yesterday and today trying to catch up on some sleep. Although the babies tend to have other ideas so really Charles and I have been walking around like zombies while they run around like crazy. Here are some pictures of the event.

We followed my parents on the drive and my  mom had a good time taking pictures of us while in traffic:

“Thanksgiving”

    Looks great! Love those marshmallows.

You’ll appreciate this story, given your UT loyalism.

I was doing the evaluation forms for a colleague, so I was in his classroom with students who do not know me. One was wearing a UT baseball cap. So I made the “hook-em-horns” sign with my hand.

He got all confused and was like, “??” So I pointed to his hat (we had to be silent because people were filling out the forms). He promptly took it off. I was like “??”

After I took up the forms, I said, “Son, if you’re going to wear that hat, you have to expect people to say ‘hook ‘em horns’!” And then he was like, “oh.”

?????? I thought you would appreciate that story, and I’ve been dying to tell a Texas fan – you’re the only one I know.
